Science Technology Engineering Math Camp (STEM)
Gladstone Summer Technology/STEM camp has been designed by Applied Design, Skills, and Technologies teachers to provide students with a comprehensive set of skills and knowledge that enable them to ideate, create, and apply solutions in the real world. This program will give students a foundational set of skills and knowledge in STEM from which they can grow into a myriad of different interest areas such as; aeronautics, engineering, architecture, applied sciences, robotics, and computer science. The summer Technology/STEM program at Gladstone seeks to expose students to many different career options and areas of interest in the technology and sciences domains. Furthermore, this program will provide students with hands-on learning experiences in order to gain foundational skills and the confidence to further pursue STEM related areas of interest in future years.
We are looking for students with a passion for technology and with a drive to be a life long learner. Each candidate must be willing to work in teams with other students from diverse background and cultures. Students at the end of the camp will have a new appreciation for technological solutions and innovative ideas. This is an excellent opportunity for student who wish to preview STEM programs in high school and post-secondary institution. Each year a new theme and focus area will be explored.
